TIP! Espresso soda and life-chats
A nice way to spend a Fan dusk between dinner and a movie.
The weather is still tolerable in the evenings, and everything still smells like flowers. Richmond is the best.
You’ve eaten dinner, you’re wandering around the Fan, the sun is starting to go down, you wonder why anyone would ever live anywhere else.
But…you’ve got plans to see a movie at the stupidly late starting time of 10:00 PM. Why did you think that was a good idea? Your babysitter is at home sitting on the couch with your dog, watching TV and eating your ice cream and laughing at you for being so foolish.
Do not fret. Wend your way over to Strawberry Street, and grab an espresso soda from 8 1/2. It is a delicious, completely not nutritious treat. Then, head across Strawberry, keep going down whichever alley you choose, and find yourself in the glorious Scuffletown Park.
Sit with your loved one, sip your energizing sodas, and talk about life until it’s time for the previews. Who’s foolish now, babysitter?
