TIP! Can Can for coffee and a croissant

Can you find a perfect place to chill in the morning without spending too much dough? You can can!

Is there a better place to take your family and friends for a leisurely breakfast than Can Can? No, I say! No there is not! The notion of a casual meal seems contrary to their cloth napkins and fancy zinc bartop, I know, but rest assured that it’s a wonderful (and wonderfully affordable) place to break your morning fast—with or without company.

Check it: For $4 even you can get a house-made fragel (which is delicious) and a neverending cup of coffee. For $4.20 you can swap the fragel for a less-filling, but more-delicious butter croissant. And, if you’re feeling like Jay-Z, go for the almond croissant and hot chocolate for the grand total of $5.20.

In fact, I’m going to revise this tip and say to leave behind your family, friends, and other hangers-on! Take the opportunity to sit in wonderful silence as you drink a hot beverage and peoplewatch Carytown through Can Can’s giant windows.
