The Daily Kitchen & Bar opening second location in the Far West End

The new restaurant is expected to open in the fall of 2016 in a new Short Pump mixed-use development.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Short Pump-area residents soon won’t have to travel to Carytown to get a taste of The Daily Kitchen & Bar restaurant.

Owners Jared Golden and Michelle Williams are opening a second location of their popular restaurant in GreenGate, a mixed-use development in the works on West Broad Street west of Short Pump Town Center. The restaurant is expected to open in fall 2016.

Golden and Williams say they’ve been searching for the right location in the West End for some time now. Click through to read more about why they selected the new GreenGate development for their second location.

Can we all agree that in no reality does Short Pump qualify as “Far West End?”

I’m with you; let’s just keep calling it Short Pump. We don’t call Chester the Far Southside for pete’s sake. Varina isn’t the Far East (although it would be cooler if it were more like the Far East I reckon.)

  3. Right or wrong, people have called Short Pump the Far West End for as long as I can remember. There even used to be a local newspaper called The Far West End Press.

The new Daily wont be the same without the smell of the Eatery blowing in through the open windows
