People

Here’s a photo of Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederacy. Davis was inaugurated Feb 22nd, 1862 (that’s 150 years ago next week!). You can read more about his inauguration here.

This particular stereograph is of a group of contrabands taken in Richmond on June 9th, 1865.
