Specialty school application season is underway!
Our area’s specialty schools are now accepting applications.

I know we’re all just now shaking off the dust from back-to-school craziness, but (believe it or not), it’s already time to start thinking about the 2015-2016 school year–if you’re thinking of enrolling your child into a specialty school, that is.
Applications are now available for…
- Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology (due December 1st)
- Franklin Military Academy (due January 16th)
- IB Programme Lucille Brown Middle School (due January 15th)
- IB Programme Thomas Jefferson High School (due January 15th)
- Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies (due December 1st)
- Open High School (due January 15th)
- Richmond Community High School (due January 16th)
Just as the application deadlines vary from school-to-school, so do the specifics as far as how the admission process is structured. So make sure to visit the websites linked up there in that handy-dandy list to find out the details for your preferred program.
