Lately, local restaurants have really jumped on the social media bandwagon. The number of active Twitter and Facebook users just in the last few months has increased dramatically. Here is some of what your favorites are writing about.

Lately, local restaurants have really jumped on the social media bandwagon. The number of active Twitter and Facebook users just in the last few months has increased dramatically. Check out what some of what your favorites are writing about.

@thebelvidererva highlights their neighborhood, writing about the First Friday’s art walk and reasons to come in, like this:

Owner An, over at @MekongRVa, is more conversational, inviting folks to join him at the World Beer Festival and chatting with fellow users about beers they love.

On the other end of the spectrum, @RostovsRocks rarely writes about their business, coffee, instead using Twitter for commentary on the BP oil spill, un-following etiquette, and Al Gore.

Patrick, owner of @BokaTruck, used to tweet more about the special of the day, which made my mouth water, though lately he’s gotten more wrapped up with ETA’s and traffic delays. If you get enough people together, you can request the truck to come to your office.
