Who has the best-tasting and best-priced rotisserie chickens in RVA?
Rotisseries are a fall-back “lazy” meal for me, so I’ve tried my share of birds around town. Tom Leonard’s frequently has refrigerated ones (left over from the day before?) for $3.99, as well as hot chickens for $4.99. Kroger’s are generally $4.99; I love the lemon pepper variety. Regular price at Ukrop’s is $6.99. $5.99 gets you a bigger bird at warehouse clubs like BJ’s, although the flavor isn’t always good as grocery store versions.

You forgot about Arby’s. I really like theirs a lot too. Although the classic taste of the Ukrop’s bird is surely hard to beat.
The 4.99 one at Kroger is much smaller than the Ukrop’s chicken, so it’s really hard to compare on price alone. I like the taste of Ukrop’s better, plus you’ve got to get the Duchess Potatoes with the bird… and some roasted veggies… hmmm, I know what I want for dinner tonight!
I don’t get to Tom Leonards a lot since it’s pretty far away, but I will have to try theirs.
It is no contest. The best rotisserie chicken in town is Chicken Fiesta. There is one on Midlothian and one on Broad. Much pricer than any of the others at $14.95 but you get two massive side (get the yucca) and the taste can’t be beat. http://www.chickenfiesta.com/
