’Tis the season. You’re starting to see the fresh-faced, hopeful, and nervous kids moving their things into dorms and apartments all around the city. In another week or so, the upperclassmen will start to trickle in, older, seasoned and less afraid of crosswalks than their freshmen brethren. The energy it all brings to the city is almost as palpable as the new lump on your ankle from when that kid lost control of his longboard just as you were walking by on your way to lunch.

University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia Union University all have important and distinct roles to play in our city’s current makeup. We took a look at some of their public stats to see how they look when compared on the same scale.
