We’ve got some menus from the 40 restaurants participating in this spring’s Restaurant Week ready for your perusal, a tea cafe in the Fan closes its doors this weekend, Parkside Cafe ends its hiatus and opens with a new chef, and more of your weekly helping of food news.
According to Richmond.com, Parkside Cafe has reopened after a month long hiatus on Forest Hill Avenue. The restaurant closed back in early March when chef Travis Milton left for the executive chef position at Mint New Casual Cuisine. Brian Munford, owner of Parkside Cafe, has moved former sous chef Chris Herrington from his other restaurant, Patina Grill, into the head chef position at Parkside Cafe, and the restaurant is now up and running with a new comfort food inspired menu. Parkside Cafe will be open at 3514 Forest Hill Avenue for dinner Tuesday–Sunday from 5pm to 9pm with those hours extending to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They’re also open for lunch Thursday–Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
According to Fan of the Fan, RealiTea has closed. The tea cafe, located at 1531 West Main Street, aimed to provide Richmonders with the best loose and organic tea experience. The shop has been open since late 2010 with over 50 varieties of teas available for purchase. If you want to stop in for one last cup of tea, they’ll still be open until Saturday at 7pm.
Spring Restaurant Week is the week of April 23 – 29, and we all know what that means: tons of delicious menus to search through! Yay! RVANews has been working hard on gathering menus from the 40 participating restaurants and collecting them in one convenient location. Remember to keep checking back as we will be adding more menus as they become available.
