Relive the music and life of Prince at The Byrd Theatre this week

The movie palace will host two screenings of “Purple Rain,” one Wednesday and another Saturday.

From The Byrd Theatre & Foundation:

Join us as we come to celebrate the life, the music and the experience that was Prince, in two special screenings of Purple Rain at the Byrd Theatre, Wednesday, April 27 at 930p, and Saturday, April 30 at Midnight.

This legendary rock musical and semi-autobiographical, even prophetic, story of Prince’s rise to super stardom opened on July 27, 1984. One month later, Prince Roger Nelson became the first artist to ever have the top movie, album, and single at the same time.

And please join us in wearing PURPLE, in memory of this legendary musical icon.

Tickets will only be sold at the door, 30 mins before showtime.
