I believe the highest Richmond flood in recorded history.Cest was 36.5 feet I think.FS is 12 feet.I grew up in a house that was just up from the flood waters.Pony Pasture, which was an actual pasture even then, was completely covered by the James River.Water from the north banks to Dead Man’s curve at Scottview and Riverside.I saw whole trees, dead cows, pieces of buildings float by.Whole towns were destroyed upstream.Afterwards the pavement on Riverside had been stripped away. There were small boats and such 30 feet up in trees.Pony Pasture was never cleared again and became the woods of today.Agnes and Camille gave birth to the flood wall.
