PHOTOS: Your neighborhood corner stores

A look at the cornerstones of many of Richmond’s neighborhoods.

Some of them are quaint neighborhood staples. Some of them are the only sources of food within a neighborhood. In a city that seems to have a plethora of grocery store options for pockets of its citizens, corner stores still provide food for thousands and thousands of others.

Tricycle Gardens’ Healthy Corner Store Initiative is one way to get good food into neighborhoods, but they can’t do it alone.

Great piece! An integral part of our daily lives but seemingly in the background. The only places I buy jerky.

DJ Market at Cary / Meadow is a great place to pick up bottled water before going skating at Texas Beach
