PHOTO: #TBT: Kelly’s on the Boulevard
The hamburger chain pre-dated McDonald’s in the area, according to some.
The forthcoming Boulevard Burger & Brew has just been restored to its former glory (check out these great photos from Richmond Magazine’s Stephanie Breijo) and should open a few days into 2016.
Originally built as a Sealtest Ice Cream parlor, the building was later a Kelly’s restaurant–one of the area’s first fast food joints that even pre-dated any area McDonald’s locations, according to local accounts.
