Open Studio Sundays at the VMFA

Free make-and-take art sessions at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts? It’s a no-brainer, dudes.

We’re a little late on this one (the first session took place on October 6th), but this family-friendly activity is too great not to share…

Between 1:00 – 4:00 PM on the first Sunday of every month, visitors of all ages are invited to head over to the VMFA’s Art Education Center to take part in Open Studio Sundays. With the help of VMFA volunteers, you’ll get to “make-and-take” a piece of art inspired by objects from the museum’s collection. A new project is offered each month, and no registration is required.

What a great way to add a little sumpin’-sumpin’ to the fam’s next trip to the museum!

Quick! Put these dates on your calendar:

  • November 3rd
  • December 1st
  • January 5th
  • February 2nd
  • March 2nd
