New restaurants in November

Six new restaurants opened up in November.

Beagle’s BBQ

November 6th

Beagle’s BBQ, which started life as a food-cart-only situation, opened a carryout spot on hallowed restaurant ground: the former location of Dixie Chicken. If we had to replace some of the tastiest fried chicken in the city, I guess it’s OK that we replaced it with smoked meats.

  • 1203 Westover Hills Boulevard
  • Friday & Saturday • 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

My Noodle

November 9th

My Noodle, Richmond’s newest noodle bar, opened in The Fan. My Noodle can be hard to find as it’s hidden under the apartment building in the northwestern corner of Stuart Circle. Early reviews of My Noodle are positive, so next time you’re in the area, stop by and take a chance on My Noodle.

  • 1600 Monument Avenue
  • Monday – Saturday • 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Sunday • 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

LEVEL

November 9th

LEVEL, which was for a quick second known as NEXT, has also opened in The Fan. They’ve got Richmond’s first iBar which glows and does weird things when you touch it.

Cafe Verde

November 13th

Cafe Verde opened a bright green storefront at 1810 E. Main Street and will focus on cupcakes and tacos. Which, if I’m being honest, is what I focus on most days anyway. I really appreciate it when someone creates an entire business focused on my specific needs.

  • 1810 E. Main Street
  • Thursday • 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Friday & Saturday • 5:00 PM – 2:30 AM
  • Sunday • 12:00 – 8:00 PM

American Tap Room

November 11th

American Tap Room is now open at Willow Lawn. This is ATR’s fifth location, the other four are located in NOVA. Come for the heated patio, stay for the $3 drafts during happy hour (Monday – Friday, 4:00 – 7:00 PM).

  • 1601 Willow Lawn Drive

The Pig and Pearl

November 18th

The Pig and Pearl opened in the old Republic spot on Broad Street. The P&P will focus on meat-heavy comfort food in a “sports-oriented atmosphere.” I don’t know about y’all, but I take a sports-oriented atmosphere with me wherever I go, so I’m excited to be amongst my people.

I’ve tasted several of the offerings of Beagle’s BBQ and found them all to be awesome. I live in Ohio and wish I could get Beagle’s BBQ here. Miss it!!
