New restaurants in June

June’s new additions to RVA’s ever-changing culinary scene.

Rock Bottom Brewery

June 2nd

Rock Bottom Brewery opened in Short Pump. Headed by brew master Becky Hammond, thirsty customers have 10 brewed-in-house craft beers to pair with an extensive menu.

Fan Noodle Bar

June 5th

Sonny, the owner, is the My Noodle & Bar owner’s brother and his mom owns Mom’s Siam. Since it’s all in the family, we bet this Asian fusion spot tastes just as good.

Grace Japanese Noodle & Restaurant

June 9th

Well, the latest trend in Richmond appears to be noodles. No word yet on when the first doughnut / noodle / brewery will open but it’s only a matter of time. The latest noodle spot to open is Grace Japanese Noodle at 1823 E. Main Street in the former Goree African Restaurant space.

Ardent Craft Ales

June 13th

Beer lovers, rejoice! Again! After a long wait, Ardent Craft Ales is now fully open. With summery suds like a honey ginger and a saison, they’ll have no problem fitting into RVA’s beer scene.

Metzger Bar & Butchery

June 25th

Metzger Bar and Butchery opened in the heart of Union Hill. The cozy 40-seat corner restaurant–co-owned by partners Brad Hemp, Nathan Conway, and Brittanny Anderson–features modern German cuisine prepared with locally-sourced ingredients as well as a full retail wine and butchery operation.
