‘Merica food: French fries
What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than by celebrating the cuisine that makes us America! First up: French fries.

It’s weird how French fries, which are such a part of the daily American eating routine,1 are named for another country. And while we may not even have the best french fries in the world (poutine!), can you imagine a classically American meal without them?
To help you celebrate our independence from the land of fish and chips–and bring forth your hungry inner American–here are a couple of local places to pick up some of, what we think are, the best French fries in town:
