‘Merica food: Burgers

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than by celebrating the cuisine that makes us America! Next up: burgers.

Hamburgers! Yet another classically American menu item sporting the name of a foreign place. Whatever Hamburg, no one does burgers like we do burgers!1 And if you needed further convincing of the supremacy of American burgermony, there are 27 different restaurants participating in RVA Burger Week. Honestly, the existence of an RVA Burger Week should be enough to convince anyone that we sure love hamburgers.

Anyway, here’s our list of some of Richmond’s best burger spots:

  • Burger Bach
  • Burgerworks
  • CanCan
  • Carytown Burgers & Fries
  • Commercial Taphouse
  • Heritage
  • Honey Whytes
  • Pasture

If we’ve missed the your favorite burger joint, let us know in the comments below.

Wow, that’s like asking which one of my kids is the cutest. It’s nigh impossible to answer, but just in the past couple of days, I’ve raved about the Monkey Burger at 3 Monkeys & the Unicorn at Curbside. RVA Burger Week is awesome.
