Kid-friendly mud run coming in August
Because, as the saying goes, the family that runs through mud together stays together.
On Saturday, August 2nd, the Big Muddy Challenge will make a stop at the Ashland Berry Farm to help get local families outside, active…and really, really dirty.
When you think of mud runs, you probably have visions of competitors plunging face first into slop as they climb walls or get pummeled in some sort of gauntlet-type situation. This is not that. The obstacles at the Big Muddy Challenge promise to be more entertaining than frightening, giving families a chance to bond and have a lot of fun as they share this endurance experience.
The run is two miles with 12 obstacles and is designed for families with kids ages 6 to 13. The cost is $37 for kids and $40 for adults. When you register, you’ll also have a chance to make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The Big Muddy Challenge is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Ashland Berry Farm (12607 Old Ridge Road in Beaverdam, Virginia).
