In a little over a month, the good ol’ RVA will welcome back one of Virginia’s best, biggest, and most beloved events: the Richmond Folk Festival. RVANews has all of the info you need to make the most of that much-anticipated weekend in October.
Scheduled for October 8, 9, and 10 on Browns Island, the Richmond Folk Festival will feature local, national, and international performers, kids activities, crafts — oh just all kinds of folksy goodness. So much, in fact, that we though it only appropriate to organize the details for you in one easy-to-use spot.
In the RVANews Richmond Folk Festival guide you’ll find:
- Bios on the scheduled performers (including images and sound clips as they are available)
- Commentary on these performers from some of our resident musical experts, including Dean Christesen
- A behind-the-scenes glimpse of what it took to put the Richmond Folk Festival together, provided by members of the music selection committee
