The second annual event featuring Henrico County restaurants benefits the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls.
From Henrico Restaurant Week organizers:
Henrico Restaurant Week, presented by title sponsor Visit Henrico, will return for its second year in 2016 – beginning with its spring event April 9-17 to benefit the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls.
The event will offer diners a chance to experience a taste of Henrico at a number of participating county restaurants, while at the same time helping to raise funds for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, which is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year.
Current participating restaurants include Deep Run Roadhouse, Family Meal, India K’Raja, Maggiano’s, Mama Cucina, Plaza del Rey, Tarrant’sWest, Texas de Brazil, Trak’s, Travinia Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar and Union Table and Tap.
The inaugural year of Henrico Restaurant Week, held last April and October, raised more than $10,000 in total for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls and the Henrico Christmas Mother program.
The April edition of HRW will again offer diners the opportunity to enjoy two-course lunches for $10 or $15 and three-course dinners for $20, $25 or $30 at participating Henrico restaurants. Each restaurant will donate $1 from the sale of every fixed-price lunch and $2 from the sale of every fixed-price dinner during the week to the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls.
Henrico Restaurant Week is an initiative of T3 Media, LLC, which owns and publishes the Henrico Citizen, HenricoCitizen.com, the Henricopedia magazine and The Plate Henrico dining guide. Restaurants and sponsors interested in participating in Henrico Restaurant Week should e-mail HenricoRW@gmail.com or call (804) 262-1700, ext. 1.
The October edition of Henrico Restaurant Week will be held Oct. 1-9, to benefit the Henrico Christmas Mother program.
