Henrico Police, DEA team up for prescription drug take back event April 30th

Got drugs? Dispose of them safely and anonymously on April 30th.

If you have unwanted or expired medications in your home, this Saturday is your chance to safely dispose of them. Henrico Police is teaming up with the DEA for a prescription drug take back event to help residents avoid unnecessary poisonings and overdoses.

On Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, prescription drugs can be dropped off at the Henrico County Training Center located at 7701 East Parham Road. No sharps or needles will be accepted, and the event is free, anonymous, and no questions will be asked.

Police remind citizens that flushing unused medication down the toilet or throwing them away are potential health and safety hazards; events like this aim to reduce these types of disposals.
