Heat Advisory issued with heat index approaching 108 degrees

Yup. You read that correctly, it’s going to feel like its close to 108 degrees.

The National Weather Service today issued a Heat Advisory for the Richmond Region through 6:00 PM.

The heat index1 will likely peak at between 105 – 108 degrees. The NWS recommends that people limit their time outdoors and to drink water throughout the day.
