Good Evening, RVA: January 6th, 2016

We sat by the windows like cats, with that creepily blissful cat-in-the-sun look. What of it?

It was a light-bathing day in RVA.

Resolution: Do more things on weekends

Things that aren’t “sit around and play video games more,” unless that’s your actual resolution, which is the case with at least one person in this office. Here are five things to do with your family.

Resolution: Decide how you feel about Maggie vs. Tree once and for all

Go to the public art meeting on Tuesday, January 12th at the Richmond Public Library. Raise some thought-provoking questions, learn more about the project, and insist that Broad Street is utterly devoid of tree life, if that’s your true belief.

Resolution: See more theater

This also dovetails nicely with your resolution to “explore one genre of music from top to bottom.” Jen Maciulewicz completely adored her Motown: The Musical experience in a way that was very pleasant to read. Enthusiasm shining through words on a virtual page, that’s really what we’re all about here. That and sparkling water, we love that stuff.

Pizza tonight

Resolution: Try one new restaurant a month

Here are the three places that opened in December. BRB very hungry.

Resolution: Take more of an active role in local infrastructure news

Because that’s how stuff gets done. You’ve got until Friday to educate yourself a bit on DC to Richmond rail options, and we suggest you do!

Resolution: Wear clothes to the Four Seasons

The New York Times asked people in the Four Seasons about what they were wearing. This is perhaps boring, but you’ve gotta scroll all the way down to when they ask Henry Kissinger.
