Free swim lessons

Beginning this week, Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities will offer swim lessons at eight of the city’s pools.

This summer Richmond’s Parks and Rec Department will offer free swim lessons at eight of the city pools. Classes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for ages 5 to 12; classes for 13 and up are available on Friday evening. Lessons are divided into two sessions, with the first running from July 15th through the 24th and the second from August 5th through the 14th.

It’s pretty slim pickings for adults and older kids looking to brush up on their swimming skills, but those planning to take advantage of the classes for the kiddos have several times from which to choose.
