Former Peacock Pantry to become Brux’l Café

Brux’l Café will be serving up Belgian food, with an expected May opening.

The owners of Belle Vie European Bistro in Midlothian will be opening Brux’l Café (1731 W. Main Street) in May.

Richmond BizSense.com has the following.

Owners Yves and Karine Danis and Stephanie and Xavier Meers signed a lease in March for the 1,500-square-foot space that was previously home toPeacock’s Pantry before it closed in 2013. At least four other restaurants operated out of the space in recent years including Cirrus, Dogwood Grille & Spirits, Plaza Mexico and Mainstream.

With a planned May opening, the new tenants hope Belgian food is the concept that finally sticks.

“When this opportunity came on the market, it was too good to pass up,” Karine Danis said.
