Former Caliente restaurant reopens as Sheppard Street Tavern
The Devil’s Triangle restaurant’s interior–and menu–have undergone a facelift.
The former Caliente restaurant in the Devil’s Triangle has reopened under a new name. Sheppard Street Tavern served its first customers for lunch service Monday.
Owner David Bender closed Caliente, which was known for their “stupid (hot) wings” and their appearance in “Man V. Food” on the Travel Channel, following the Super Bowl. The infamous wings remain, but most everything else on the menu has changed.
The restaurant’s interior remains largely unchanged, but features new booths and tabletops, along with some other cosmetic improvements.

Man v. Food’s RVA appearance was written about on this very website by me, here http://rvanews.com/features/man-v-food-v-richmond/27879
Hooray, everything is still $3 too expensive!
Great logo design! The “Devil’s Fork” is spot on.
Hope they keep the Devil’s Triangle naming for this area.
The Fork idea is so good, perhaps it could be used in all descriptors for the area.
It’s unique, memorable and conveys a sense of place.
