BLOOD. GUTS. And culinary prowess? The well-dressed dudes of GWAR are raising money to open up GWARbar, a restaurant that sounds as ridiculously awesome as the band itself. Due to health codes, we’re sure the restaurant will have less bodily fluid splatter.

According to Esquire Magazine, the Roosevelt is one of the best bars in America. Its Southern charm and delicious mix of drinks unsurprisingly won David Wondrich over while he barhopped across the country. Cheers!

OPA! You can get away with saying that because the best food festival starts TODAY in Richmond. The 39th Annual Richmond Greek Festival will dish out baklava, souvlaki, and the rest of the goods until Sunday. Get there early, because it’s pretty popular.

For $3 a dish, sample all of what Richmond restaurants have to offer at Broad Appétit. There will also be beer, food trucks, and vendors–because RVA knows how to throw a proper block party.

Brux’l Cafe opened last week in the Fan. The “Bistronomie” features a menu ranging from burgers to escargot, satisfying both the true French-lover or the more traditional palate.

Charlottesville’s Christians Pizza, opened its Richmond location this week, stepping up the local pizza game. Apparently it’s amazing so you know where you’ll find us.
