Favorites: Mrs. Yoder’s doughnut

Richmond is a town with doughnut options. Back around the turn of the century (huh?), we were just happy to see Krispy Kreme reopen. Country Style, while it’s been around for years, saw renewed attention from behind the counter at Lamplighter. Now we even have an honest-to-goodness doughnut truck: Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen. You’ll know you’re close to these fresh sourdough goodies ($2) when you see a theme-park-sized line at the South of the James market. Enjoy a warm, cinnamon and sugar glazed treat as you navigate the crowds.

Mrs. Yoder’s doughnuts are to die for! I go to the South of the James market just for the doughnuts.
