Favorites: Heritage’s burger

The accolades for Heritage continue to roll in, and deservedly so. Why, then, would I feature something so pedestrian as a burger ($13 with optional house-made bacon) from one of Richmond’s finest eateries? It stands to reason that a restaurant that elevates humble risotto and roast chicken would produce one of this town’s tastiest burgers as well. Reason prevails with fresh bibb lettuce, onion jam, melted cheddar, and smokey bacon on a brioche bun from Drew Thomasson’s D’lish Bakery. If you have any room left, fill up on fries with smoked tomato aioli and house-made pickles.
