Favorites: Enoteca Sogno’s gnocchi with pesto

The smell of basil nearly overpowered me as I maneuvered this plate of fresh, handmade gnocchi with pesto ($15) under my camera. I was standing in the dining room of Enoteca Sogno as I photographed this dish, and I hadn’t eaten dinner yet. So I found myself day-dreaming about tucking in to these soft dumplings dressed with a traditional pesto alla Genovese of fresh basil, pine nuts, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and olive oil. Thankfully it’s a dream easily made real with a short trip to the Bellevue neighborhood in the Northside.

That looks delicious. I want to eat it. I had no clue that restaurant existed.
