Favorites: Cupertino’s Taylor Lumberjack
Southern food found its way into my heart (and the rest of my circulatory system) shortly after I moved to Virginia, but I still need some Yankee fare every now and then. Enter the Taylor Lumberjack ($6.49) from Cupertino’s NY Bagel and Deli. “Taylor” means Taylor Pork Roll–kind of a mild, minced-pork sausage. Pile it on a fresh poppy seed bagel with some eggs and cheese, grab a fistful of napkins, and find a comfy spot to sleep off your food coma until a late lunch.

Their bagels are great but their fillings are pretty wack.
Easily the best bagels in town. Eventually every ex-NY’er finds them. It’s one of our super powers!
Don’t forget their Downtown Store at 1215 East Main. They are open M-F from 7-2pm. Great bagels.
