Etsy holiday decorations guide

Ready to deck your halls? Local Etsy crafters will hook you up with holiday decorations that are fun, festive… and a little bit different.

Etsy.com has been featuring shops from independent sellers since 2005, and has quickly become the standard for handmade and vintage shopping. Think of it as eBay’s prettier, smarter, more straightforward cousin. One of the site’s crowning gems is its Shop Local tool, which allows you to zero in on shops in Richmond and keep all that cash in your own backyard. This time, I went in search of the Christmas finery mother lode stored in the caches of Richmond crafters. Besides supporting local businesspeople, these gems will quickly cure the malady of having the Same Old Stuff that everybody else has.

(Note: At the time this list was compiled, the featured items were still available. But act quickly – things get snatched up like THAT! If you miss out on buying something, be sure to check the sellers’ other items available for purchase.)

  1. Great idea, featuring local crafters! Will you also do an gift guide of local shops selling non-holiday gifts?

  2. Not specifically for Etsy, but we will be running a gift guide featuring great finds from local merchants.

  3. Hey thanks for the great shout out!

To buy Modern June locally you can go to Feathernesters in Lakeside or Strawberry Fields. You can also pick up your order straight from me and skip the shipping!!!
