Crossroads Art Center presents “Growth” exhibition featuring six area artists

The exhibition opens Friday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.

Crossroads Art Center is hosting an art opening featuring several Richmond area artists this evening.

The March 18 through May 8 exhibitions feature work by Flynn Geissel, group shows by James River Art League (Spring in Virginia) and World  Art Group, as well as a show honoring natural themes/materials and the coming of spring titled GROWTH; this show features the work of six artists: furniture maker and designer Christina Boy, ceramic artist Maria Galuszka of Butternut Press, muralist Emily Herr of Herr Suite, blacksmith and furniture designer Kyle Lucia of Phoenix Handcraft, textile artist Emily Nicolaides, and mosaic artist Johannah Willsey of Phoenix Handcraft.

More great work can be seen in the Juried All-Media Show (juror Ashby Nickerson of Candela Books + Gallery) and the Crossroads Members’ Show. The Richmond Magic Club and the International Brotherhood of Magicians will provide entertainment for the opening reception, with music by Quiet Step Ensemble and Timothy Judd and his violin students, and food trucks on site.

Crossroads Art Center is located at 2016 Staples Mill Road in the Near West End. The opening runs from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. The exhibition will remain on display through May 8th.
