Chocolates by Kelly’s delicious empire is spreading

Church Hill is about to get a lot sweeter.

Currently, owner Kelly Walker runs her shop in the same building as TaZa Coffee ‘n Creme at 5047 Forest Hill Avenue. Since 2008 she has been providing the chocolate treats to a loyal following. Starting in April residents of Church Hill will be able to purchase her chocolate from her satellite storefront at 600 N. 29th Street.

The move was motivated by Church Hill’s growing food scene, a new audience for her chocolate and the attractiveness of affordable rent. The new location also allows room for classes, demonstrations, and private events. The shop on Forest Hill Avenue and all production will remain in place.

All the details haven’t been worked out yet but Kelly also told me that she now has a talented florist on staff and there will likely be some gorgeous bouquets for sale in our future at both locations.
