Carytown Bistro & Coffee House to become café and wine bar

Another option for you Italian Café and wine bar lovers.

I don’t have any details beyond this article on Richmond BizSense.com.

Last month Claudio Ragazzi bought Carytown Bistro & Coffee House at 3200 W. Cary St. In May, he plans to reopen the 1,000-square-foot space as 10, an Italian café and wine bar.

The venture will be Ragazzi’s second Richmond eatery. In 2009, he opened Caffespresso at 1127 Gaskins Road.

Ragazzi said he approached Carytown Bistro owner Charles Thompson about 18 months ago to talk about buying the business. Ragazzi would not say how much he paid for it.

“The patio was really what drove me to this specific location,” Ragazzi said. The space sits on the corner of West Cary and South Auburn streets.
