C Street opens, Arcadia opens in the Bottom, and what’s up with Café Olé???

Richmond has three new restaurants! We’ll talk about what’s cooking in Carytown, what’s up with the new Peacock in the Fan, and who’s taken over the old Café Gutenberg spot in the Bottom.

According to West of the Boulevard News, C Street has opened in Carytown in the old Acacia building, you know the one that use to have the adorable pink awnings. They are currently open for breakfast and lunch. The big kicker is that they have a HEATED PATIO. Definitely worth a visit. You can check out their site here, which doesn’t really have any info on it yet…so better look at their Facebook page, which includes a bit of the menu.

In more opening news, the ever-changing 1731 West Main Street restaurant location (most recently Main Stream) has a new owner according to Style Weekly. A sign that reads Peacock’s Pantry hangs out front. Its owned by Elizabeth Lee and John Purcell, both professionals in other fields who have a passion for great food. They plan to open in early December with a menu of “familiar foods taken to another level,” according to Lee. They will be open for dinner Thursday through Sundays, with weekend brunch and prepared foods for takeout.

Arcadia, John Van Peppen’s restaurant that took over the Cafe Gutenberg space is also now open. They have the menus up on their site. There are brunch options available on there as well…I’m just saying. For more on Arcadia and Van Peppen you can read up here.

According to Richmond Bizsense, Café Olé in Carytown has temporarily closed for renovations. So if you’re craving delicious tacos be sure to head to their downtown location (2 North 6th Street) to avoid disappointment.

Blue Goat has updated both their brunch (PDF) as well as their dinner (PDF) menus to stay true to their seasonal approach. If you haven’t been yet, might be a good time to head over, and if you have, it’s time to try a new dish!
