Bacon Festival is back

Sunday, June 14th from 11AM to 5 PM, six hours of bacony goodness.

From the official press release:

Bacon is back! Last year a record-breaking crowd came out to the 17th Street Farmers’ Market in Shockoe to taste, sample, sell, smell and enjoy all things bacon. More than 40 Richmond restaurants and food trucks will bring their creative minds to this event, each one offering their own favorite and most cherished bacon-centric dishes. Sample everything from bacon-infused sliders, ribs, clam cakes and mac- n-cheese to maple-bacon lattes and chocolate bacon ice pops and sundaes. Plates are just $4 each, so you can sample all your favorite restaurants, and try something new. Can you go wrong with bacon?

The 3rd Richmond Bacon Festival also features delicious Virginia craft beer from Devils Backbone Brewing Company, tasty wine & cider from Tap 26, and produce & craft markets. Our children’s area will offer family entertainment to kids of all ages. Enjoy face painting, bacon-themed henna tattoos, and a craft market.

The music stage will be live throughout the day, featuring local favorites Dance Candy and The Big Payback.
The 3rd Richmond Bacon Festival is a fundraiser homegrown in Richmond, VA by Enrichmond, Devils Backbone, and the 17th Street Farmers’ Market. This event is free and open to the public. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Enrichmond Foundation.
