I’m meeting an internet bud for the first time in real life. Where’s a good place to go on a possibly awkward first bro date?

If you like beer, and I’m assuming you do, check out Commercial Taphouse. The food is surprisingly good, the atmosphere super chill, and the beer list incredibly thoughtful. Grab a seat at the bar, order whatever’s on cask, and prepare to be amazed that people from the internet usually turn out to be just like you and me!¹

I have a blind date this weekend, and there’s a 50/50 chance it will be absolutely terrible. I need somewhere that’s good for drinks, but, if we start to hit it off, we can grab some dinner, too.

Fat Dragon on Boulevard is a great place to grab a few drinks, and a lot of people eat at the bar so you could easily transition into dinner if things start to unexpectedly go well. If things are going great, just ask the bartender to put your name on the waiting list for a table.

Plus, they have Sex on tap. So…do with that what you will.

I’m a single dad with two kiddos and have been dating a woman for a few months who also has a kid. This is our first post-divorce serious dating situation, and we are very sensitive to how we introduce our children to one another but are ready for that next step. Is there a good place to get dinner where the kids would have fun in a casual environment for this kind of situation? Any help appreciated!

If you live on the Southside, you’re no doubt aware of the amazing spectacle that is Uptown Alley. If you’re not from out that way, or don’t spend a ton of time over there, you might not know about this giant, brand-new, 38-lane bowling alley. I was skeptical myself, until I took a trip down south and had a total blast.

They’ve got a good menu, local beers, and a ton of ways to ease your sets of kids into a congenial hangout.
