I’m planning my office Christmas party, and we want to go somewhere downtown that’s upscale with a nice holiday feel to it. Any suggestions for something that has that fancy flair but is open during lunch hours?
Chez Foushee is the perfect spot for a fancy business lunch downtown. They’ve got classy white table clothes, an upscale French-inspired menu, and an absolutely delicious lemon butter cake. Chez Foushee has been doing this sort of thing for the last 25 years, so you know they’ll treat you right.

The community table at Stella’s is perfect, yet probably incredibly hard to reserve at this point in the year. But it can’t hurt to try, right? Especially when delicious greek food is on the line.

The newly opened Cask Cafe is perfect for the increasingly normal combination of cold ones and kids. In the room adjacent to the bar there’s enough space and tables to accommodate a big group, and the atmosphere is super chill so a couple of youngsters going on about Thomas, Spider-man, or Caillou (shudder) will totally be NBD.

For question 2: The upstairs part of Bottom’s Up can fit a bunch of people at big tables if you are into the casual/pizza thing. Also ordering pizzas with a big party is sort of a study in group dynamics!
