Ardent Craft Ales announces lineup for second annual Swine & Brine Festival

The event will pair a variety of craft beers with local chefs and their signature dishes on April 22nd.

From Ardent Craft Ales:

Richmond’s Ardent Craft Ales is pleased to announce the return of its annual Swine & Brine festival on Friday, April 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the brewery. This outdoor event features an exclusive, one-day-only line-up of Ardent beers and casks, as well as food from local chefs
and restaurants.

Beers featured at Swine & Brine will include no less than 14 different Ardent varieties including several different IPA batches, our new summer Golden Ale, as well as Szechuan Peppercorn Saison and a cask of Oyster Porter. Brown Distributing will supply a beer truck to enable us to offer outdoor draft beers, similar to last year’s festival. The taproom will remain open with duplicate drafts and casks stations. The full beer line-up for Swine & Brine is as follows:

  • Saison
  • Virginia Common
  • IPA Batch #9
  • IPA Batch #18
  • IPA Batch #19
  • IPA Batch #20
  • IPL
  • Robust Porte
  • Batch 100
  • Golden Ale
  • Earl Grey Brown Ale
  • Altbier
  • Szechuan Peppercorn Saison
  • Oyster Porter Cask

Ardent’s Swine & Brine festival also features a stellar line-up of local restaurants, with several returning and new guest chefs. Providing the day’s fresh seafood is Rappahannock Oyster Co. who will be on site with raw and steamed oysters, as well as fresh crab cakes and traditional accouterments. Chefs from The Roosevelt, Saison, Metzger Bar & Butchery, ZZQ, and new this year, Sabai and Amuse, will join the festival to offer the day’s menu of pork-centric dishes. Food will include Smoked Pork Sausage, Bone-in Pork Belly, Crispy Pork Belly, Pork Skewers, and traditional Pulled Pork Sandwiches. Each dish will be served with a side item created by a different chef. The full food menu will be released before the event.

All beers and food items will cost one ticket ($5) with some exceptions for larger quantity or sized items. Guests will be given three tickets as part of their admission, and can purchase additional tickets via cash or credit card at check-in or once inside the event.

The Ardent staff and a team of volunteers will be helping to make Swine & Brine possible. Those interested in volunteering at the event can email lindsey@ardentcraftales.com.

The event takes place Friday, April 22nd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Ardent Craft Ales is located at 3200 West Leigh Street in Scott’s Addition.

Tickets are $20 per person. Cost includes three tickets redeemable for food and/or beer and an Ardent bandanna. Tickets can be purchased online here.
