Spring is bustin’ out all over! And now (thanks to us), so is your family-fun to-do list!
1. No Batteries Required
Kids ages five and up are welcome to come indulge in 19th century leisure activities like trundling hoops and walking on stilts. Because why not, guys?

2. Meet the Doulas
Judging by the current state of my Facebook feed, well, let’s just say I know what a lot of you were up to during that long, cold winter. So, if you’ve recently found yourself “In The Family Way”, think about spending some time getting to know the Richmond Doulas. You’ll find out how hiring a doula can improve your birth experience and ease your transition into life with a new baby. Also: they’ll have snack-treats!

3. Earth Day Rain Barrel Workshop
Earth Day technically isn’t until next Tuesday, but don’t let your desire to fine-tune your family’s rainwater harvesting skills be deterred by such details! Space is limited for this make-and-take activity, so call 804-864-1400 to register.

4. St. John’s Church Easter Egg Hunt
Little known fact: Patrick Henry’s most famous quote gets cut off in most retellings. What he actually said back in March of 1775 was, “Give me liberty or give me death…or, you know, a plastic egg filled with jelly beans would really hit the spot now, too.”

5. Where Have I Heard that Before?
Join the Richmond Concert Band for an afternoon of them driving you crazy as you try to place the popular music showcased in “Where Have I Heard that Before?” Film scores, theme songs, Billboard hits–it’s all up for grabs during this outdoor concert at the lovely Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.

It’s wonderful, and you’ll get to mix and mingle with some of Richmond’s awesome doulas, whose aim is to help you navigate your birth and postpartum experience with empowerment, information, support, and love.
