19th annual “Big Yard Sale” takes place this Saturday at U of R
The annual event is a fundraiser for the school’s environmental groups and the Sierra Club.

The 19th annual Big Yard Sale comes to the University of Richmond this Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Millhiser Gymnasium. This sale of gently-used items donated by students during move-out week offers furniture, shelving, rugs, clothing, household items, books and more.
The event, which is supported by the University of Richmond Office for Sustainability, not only diverts material from the landfill but also serves as a fundraiser for student environmental groups and the Sierra Club.
Items that are not sold are donated to Goodwill, a partner in the event.
All transactions for the sale are cash or check only. Credit cards are not accepted.
