$1 kids movies coming in June!

Regal’s Summer Movies Express hits Richmond on June 16th–which means you can consider your Tuesday and Wednesday mornings with the kids booked through mid-August.

Regal Entertainment Group1 is at it again–and by “it” I mean “offering a place for families to spend summertime mornings soaking up low-priced, high quality2 entertainment AND free AC.”

Summer Movies Express is an nine-week program during which Regal theaters screen recent kids movies and only charge you a piddly $1 per ticket. Feel good bonus: a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.

Richmond’s Regal Theaters will kick of Summer Movies Express on June 16th. Movies are shown at 10:00 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Here’s what we’ll see and when at our local theaters…

Be sure to check the Regal website to verify Summer Movie Express at your local theater. And a pro tip for you: these screenings are much beloved activities for daycares and day camps, so get to the theater early and expect a crowd. But hey, for $1 a ticket, can you really complain?3

  1. We’ve always called it “Regal Cinemas” in these parts, but what do I know? I just referred to a geographic location as “parts.”
  2. Well, high-ish. Quality varies from week to week, depending on your personal taste.
  3. I know plenty of people could complain, but, hey, let’s just not do that!
