Youth Awards Nomination Deadline Extended To March 30

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The deadline to nominate someone for the 2009 Outstanding Youth Awards is being extended to March 30 by 5 p.m. Nomination forms are online at http://www.chesterfield.gov/HumanServices/YouthServices/awards.asp. To be considered for the awards, youths must be residents of Chesterfield County between the ages of 12 and 18 who have demonstrated at least one of the following: courage, compassion, leadership, or school or community service. Adult nominees must be residents of Chesterfield County over 18. In their work with youths, they must have demonstrated at least one of the following: fortitude, mentorship or service. Nominees will be honored during a ceremony May 7 at L.C. Bird High School. The Outstanding Youth Awards are sponsored by the Chesterfield County Youth Planning and Development Department, the Youth Services Citizen Board and the Midlothian Kiwanis Club.
