As rvajazz.com puts it, “The West of the Boulevard neighborhood is in for a treat Saturdays this summer.”

The Thompson and Grace Balcony Concert Series, created by Richmond musicians Reggie Pace and Larri Branch, will feature local bands on Saturday afternoons playing on a house’s balcony on the corner of the two streets. The events are free and open to the public. Says the series’ creators, “We’re trying to cultivate a party environment. We want everyone to come out and have a good time. Hopefully people in the neighborhood will see what’s going on and want to get involved.” And if live music doesn’t catch the attention of passersby, the lemonade stand sure will.

This week’s performance features Glows in the Dark. The performance will begin around 2:30 PM and last until 4 PM @ 3426 W Grace Street. It’s at the perfect time to head over after the WOTB picnic.

Thanks tipster Dean.
