What’s at the Victory Farms Urban Farm Stand tonight

Time to get some veggies.

The Victory Farms stand (1005 Westoverhills Blvd on the corner of Dunston) will be brimming with spring produce from 4:00 to 7:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, June 11th. New to the tables are potatoes. Charlie has begun to pull the first of the season from the ground and they are delicious. Also cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini and other varieties of squash are on a bulk special of 10 mix and match for $5.00!

  • Arugula
  • Salad Mix
  • Beets (4 varieties including a new white beet!)
  • Spring onions
  • Basil
  • Broccoli
  • Radish
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage red and green
  • Four Kales
  • Swiss chard
  • Collards
  • Fennel
  • Parsley
  • Kohlrabi (great for roasting or a raw snack)
  • Grass-fed beef

In a week (or as soon as the machine is delivered) the farm stand will be offering/participating in the SNAP program. Spread the word to anyone they know who will benefit from this service.

    WOW! We needed this…no more parking hassles @ Forest Hill Park’s market on Saturdays, no more huge crowds to deal with. And I heard Victory Farms will be at Westover Hills B lvd/Dunston Ave on Saturday mornings. Also, At TaZa you may find their “left overs”.

    I agree with you amen k. The Forest Hill Park market has veered away from being a farmers market and morphed into a huge something else – produce is definitely in the minority there, and outnumbered by food trucks. The crowds are horrendous, and we now avoid the place. Victory Farms has it right.
