There’s plenty happening in North Richmond this week. Check out our calendar section for a more complete listing of events. Some highlights from the week ahead:

  • ZED Cafe celebrates our local farmers on Monday with their local farmers showcase from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Come enjoy and support Virginia’s and Zed’s local farmers and producers when they display for your purchase fresh produce, fruits, cheeses, herbs and flowers. There will be complimentary wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and culinary tastings with Zed’s own Executive Chef, Bill Foster.
  • The Ginter Park Library’s Toddler Story Time is held at 10:30am this Tuesday, and the library’s Preschool Story Time is held at 10:30am this Thursday.
  • The Lakeside Farmer’s Market moves into prime harvest season. More than 11 vendors will sell their produce, plants and handcrafted goods on Wednesday (from 8:00am until 12 noon, and from 3:00 until 7:00pm) and on Saturday (from 8:00am until 12 noon).
  • Take the family out to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for Families After Five on Tuesday. The gardens and children’s water play area will be open until 9:00pm with regular garden admission.
  • It’s the Northside Double Date celebration as Nicola Flora and Northside Grille celebrate their first anniveraries on Bellevue Avenue from 4:00 until 6:00pm this Friday, June 20.
  • Check out the annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival at Bryan Park this Saturday.
