Wednesday, November 7th, 6:30 p.m., @ VHS: The National Gallery of Art and the Mellon Legacy. This lecture will trace the donations of the Mellon family and how they impacted the National Gallery of Art. Speaker: Dr. Earl Powell, director of the National Gallery of Art.

Thursday, November 8th, 5:30 p.m., @ VMFA: Looking at Art and Alzheimer’s. This lecture will look at how art can soothe patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Both lectures are FREE.
