Video of the Police Memorial statute’s journey
The new location is within sight of the Carillon.

For 28 years, the Police Memorial Statue stood under the trees in a corner of Festival Park. Some thought the statue didn’t get the appreciation it deserved there, however, and planned for more than a year to find it a new home.
Memorial Statue’s trip to new Byrd Park home. Pavers, flag and benches will be added for rededication in September.
